In addition, molecular docking results showed that sen-byakangelicol, beta-sitosterol, and Prangenin, have a relatively high potential to become a treatment for patients with OS and improve 5-year survival in OS patients. We used network pharmacology and molecular docking methods to predict the active ingredients and significant targets of Angelica dahurica for the treatment of OS and, to a certain extent, elucidated the potential molecular mechanism of Angelica dahurica in the treatment of OS. This study provided a theoretical basis for Angelica dahurica in the treatment of OS.
Monomorphic intestinal T-cell lymphoma (MEITL) is a rare, aggressive peripheral T-cell lymphoma that arises from intestinal epithelial lymphocytes. Currently, MEITL lacks standard treatment options. Under the current treatment regimen, the median survival time for patients is only 7 months. Chemotherapy followed by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation may improve patient outcomes. New anti-lymphoma drugs, including chidamide and PEG-asparaginase, are being tested against MEITL. To our knowledge, there are currently no data on the pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) regimen for MEITL therapy.Patient concerns, diagnosis and interventions We report the case of a 54-year-old patient diagnosed with MEITL who presented with abdominal pain and was treated with a cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone, etoposide regimen containing PLD.
After 15 months of follow-up, the patient is currently alive and disease free. The application of doxorubicin liposomes in chemotherapy regimens may be a new way to treat MEITL.
We searched the literature on MEITL and selected 52 case reports. We summarized the clinical characteristics and treatment of 53 patients (including the current patient).
It highlights 2 important clinical findings. First, for patients with MEITL treated with the cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone, etoposide regimen, PLD has fewer adverse reactions and better long-term survival than doxorubicin. Second, an early diagnosis is necessary for prompt treatment. We believe that this manuscript will be valuable to all the researchers who are interested in.

This review aimed to provide evidence from previous behavioral and neurophysiological studies on collating cognitive processes and associated neural substrates and linking them to the state of visuospatial representations in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Even though MCI patients showed impaired visuospatial attentional processing and working memory, previous neuropsychological experiments in MCI largely emphasized memory impairment and lacked substantiating evidence of whether memory impairment could be associated with how patients with MCI encode objects in space. The present review suggests that impaired memory capacity is linked to impaired allocentric representation in MCI patients. This review indicates that further research is needed to examine how the decline in visuospatial attentional resources during allocentric coding of space could be linked to working memory impairment.
Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harboring human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) exon 20 mutant occurs in 3% of NSCLCs. Targeted agents for this population remain an unmet need. In this analysis, we pooled-analyzed the efficacy and safety of poziotinib, a novel tyrosine kinase inhibitor, in HER2 exon 20 mutant NSCLC.
PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane CENTRAL databases were systematically searched on March 9, 2022. The primary endpoints were objective response rate (ORR) and disease control rate. The secondary endpoint was treatment-related adverse events.
Three prospective clinical trials, involving 126 patients, were identified. The pooled ORR and disease control rate of poziotinib in HER2 exon 20 mutant NSCLC were 27% (95% CI, 19-35) and 72% (95% CI, 64-80), respectively. Patients with G778_P780dupGSP had the highest ORR (88%; 95% CI, 33-100; n = 12), followed by Y772_A775dupYVMA (20%; 95% CI, 12-30; n = 88) and G776delinsVC (19%; 95% CI, 0-50; n = 13). The most common grade 3 to 4 treatment-related adverse events were skin rash (36%), diarrhea (23%), and oral mucositis (13%).
Poziotinib demonstrates moderate antitumor activity in previously treated HER2 exon 20 mutant NSCLC patients with a manageable safety profile. In addition, different subgroup mutations show various benefits of poziotinib treatment. Large-scale and multiarm clinical trials are warranted to confirm a suitable population and therapeutic strategies.

The present prospective observational study included 29 cases of COVID-19 patients in ICU who admitted to our hospital during February 2020 to March 2020. All the patients were divided into gastrogavage groups (n = 16) and TEN group (n = 13) according to route of enteral nutrition. Serum levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-1 β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and NLRP1 (NLR family pyrin domain containing 1) was detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Serum levels of lymphocyte, albumin and hemoglobin was detected using an automatic biochemical analyzer. Patients’ demographic and clinical characteristics were collected and analyzed. Kaplan-Meier (K-M) curve was conducted for survival analysis and receiver operating characteristic curve was used for the analysis of diagnostic value of biomarkers. All the patients were followed-up for 3 months. This study found that the survival group had higher rate of TEN therapies than the deceased. COVID-19 patients in ICU on TEN had lower APACHE II scores, frequency of feeding suspension and mortality, however, with higher content of albumin was found at 5th day. The incidence of nutritional intolerance including abdominal distension and gastric retention in patients on TEN was notably lower than those on gastrogavage. The serum levels of NLRP1, CRP, IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α decreased in a time-dependent manner, but patients on TEN had lower levels of NLRP1, CRP and IL-1β than patients on gastrogavage. A positive correlation was found among NLRP1 and inflammatory factors, and COVID-19 patients with lower NLRP1 had longer survival time. Serum NLRP1 also exhibited diagnostic value for the death of COVID-19 patients. TEN decreased inflammatory response and improved the prognosis for COVID-19 patients in ICU.To determine the usefulness of lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and inflammatory response biomarker (IRB) score for predicting disease-specific survival and delayed cervical lymph node metastasis in early-stage oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). We retrospectively analyzed 72 patients with early-stage OSCC. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was used to determine the cutoff values for LMR, NLR, and PLR. IRB score was determined as follows high LMR, high NLR, and low PLR, which were each rated as 1. CID-51003603 These scores were added to obtain IRB score (range 0-3). From univariate analysis, gender, poor mode of invasion, and high IRB score were identified as significant risk factors for disease-specific survival. However, there were no independent factors for poor prognosis in multivariate analysis. On the other hand, for delayed cervical lymph node metastasis, poor mode of invasion, low LMR, high NLR, high PLR, and high IRB score were identified as significant risk factors from univariate analysis, and in multivariate analysis, poor mode of invasion and high IRB score were confirmed as independent risk factors. IRB score and mode of invasion are potentially independent risk factors for delayed cervical lymph node metastasis in early-stage OSCC.
Several efforts have been made to improve the glass ionomer cements (GICs) properties with nanotechnology. Fluoride release in once of most beneficial properties of GICs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fluoride release, recharge, and cytotoxicity in GICs reinforced with titanium dioxide nanoparticles (TiO2N).
Evaluate the fluoride release, recharge, and cytotoxicity in GICs reinforced with TiO2N.
Four GICs, FUJI IX EXTRA (G1c), KETAC MOLAR (G2c), IONOFILL MOLAR (G3c), and FUJI IX (G4c) were combined with TiO2N (G1e, G2e, G3e, and G4e) and divided into blocks of 5-mm width and 1-mm thickness 10 each. A total of 80 samples were arranged as follows GICs alone as negative control (n = 40) and GICs + TiO2N as experimental groups (n = 40). The fluoride release was determined for periods of 1, 2, 6, 10, 31, 90, 180, 240, and 300 days. On days 30 and 179, samples were recharged by submerging in 1 mL of 20,000 ppm sodium fluoride gel. Cytotoxic activity was carried out with gingival fibroblasts, using 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide cell viability assay.
The experimental groups obtained the highest and more constant fluoride released when compared to control groups. After the first recharge, experimental groups (G1e, G3e, and G4e) showed statistically significant results (P = .001, 0.010, and 0.001 respectively) enhancing their recharge ability regarding control groups. The second recharge showed better results in G1e concerning the rest of the groups. No cytotoxic activity was observed in all experimental groups, although significant differences were observed in G3e and G4e regarding control group.
The incorporation of TiO2N enhance the fluoride release in glass ionomers with a noncytotoxic effect on human gingival fibroblasts.

Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) require greater attention from family caregivers as they present temporary or permanent physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional issues. This demand for care generates overload and stress among family caregivers. So far, there is no study that gathers the available literature regarding the use of biomarkers to assess stress among caregivers of CSHCN. Hence, we aimed to synthetize and to assess the scientific evidence on biomarkers associated with stress in caregivers of CSHCN.
