Three-dimensional reconstruction of the anatomical model of the human urinary system provides a platform for studying the fine anatomy of the female urinary system and allows measurement of multiple parameters to better understand the functional differences of the bladder and urethra in different populations.
To investigate the effects of acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) on electrophysiological epileptic activities of mouse hippocampal pyramidal neurons in the extracellular acidotic condition.
We investigated effects of extracellular acidosis on epileptic activities induced by elevated extracellular K
concentration or the application of an antagonist of GABA
receptors in perfusate of mouse hippocampal slices under field potential recordings. We also tested the effects of extracellular acidosis on neuronal excitability under field potential recording and evaluated the changes in epileptic activities of the neurons in response to pharmacological inhibition of ASICs using a specific inhibitor of ASICs.
Extracellular acidosis significantly suppressed epileptic activities of the hippocampal neurons by converting ictal-like epileptic activities to non-ictal-like epileptic activities in both high [K
]o and disinhibition models, and also suppressed the intrinsic excitability of the neurons. ASICs inhibitor did not antagonize the inhibitory effect of extracellular acidosis on ictal epileptic activities and intrinsic neuronal excitability, but exacerbated non-ictal epileptic activities of the neurons in extracellular acidotic condition in both high [K
]o and disinhibition models.
ASICs can differentially modulate ictal-like and non-ictallike epileptic activities via its direct actions on excitatory neurons.

To observe the expression of HELQ and RAD51C in normal endometrial and endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) and analyze their correlation with the clinical features of the patients.
The expressions of HELQ and RAD51C proteins were detected by immunohistochemical staining in normal endometrial tissues (14 cases) and tumor tissues from patients with ESS (37 cases) treated in Hunan Provincial Cancer Hospital from January, 2013 to December, 2016. The correlations of the expressions of the two proteins with the patients’age, FIGO staging, tissue type, tumor size, and lymph node metastasis were analyzed.
Immunohistochemical staining showed that the expressions of HELQ and RAD51C were both decreased in ESS patients compared with the normal group, and there was a positive correlation between HELQ and RAD51C expression (
< 0.05). HELQ expression in ESS was correlated with the tumor size and type. The expressions of HELQ and RAD51C were not correlated with the patients’ age, FIGO stage and status of lymph node metastasis (
> 0.05).
Homologous recombination- directed DNA repair involving HELQ and RAD51C may participate in the occurrence and progression of ESS.

To investigate changes in intestinal flora in patients with primary Sj?gren syndrome (pSS) and explore the relationship between pSS disease activity and intestinal flora structure.
Fecal samples were collected from 18 female pSS patients, including 9 patients with active disease (group A) and 9 with disease inactivity or low activity (group B), with 10 healthy subjects as the control group. The total bacterial DNA was extracted from the fecal samples for PCR amplification, and Illumina Hiseq 2500 high-throughput sequencing was performed for the v3-v4 region of 16Sr DNA gene to obtain the biological information of the intestinal flora. SB203580 The intergroup OTU analysis, structural diversity analysis, significant difference analysis and LEFSE analysis were performed with information mining of the literature think tanks.
The dilution curves generated based on the OTUshannon index for analysis of sample complexity showed that the measured data were relatively complete and could reflect the diversity of the microo,

Patients with pSS have significant changes in the diversity of intestinal flora, especially in some specific bacteria in
genus and in 16S v3-v4 region of the bacteria. The differences in the core bacteria in the intestinal flora of pSS patients suggest the role of flora structure changes in the pathogenesis of pSS.

DWI signal hyperintensity is usually considered to suggest irreversible infarct core, but recent studies demonstrated that DWI hyperintensity signal could be reversible on small embolic lesions. Herein we present a case in a 63-year-old male patient, who was admitted to the emergency department with altered mental status and complaint of weakness in the left arm and leg 6.8 h prior to the admission. Emergency cranial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and angiography (MRA) revealed occlusion of his right middle cerebral artery (MCA) and large lesions on DWI. The patient underwent intra-artery thrombectomy after evaluation in spite of the large volume of the DWI lesions up to 91.5 mL at the baseline. His right MCA was recanalized at 8.5 h from symptom onset. One week after the procedure, the patient showed reduced DWI lesion volume to 11.58 mL. In this case we observed the reversibility of a large lesion of the anterior artery circulation presenting with hyperintensity on DWI, suggesting that the clinical implication of DWI hyperintensity should be interpreted with caution, and a large volume of baseline DWI hyperintensity may not be a contraindication to thrombectomy. This conclusion, however, awaits further validation by future large-scale randomized controlled trials.
