The Marston House has a rich history. It was first entrusted by notable San Diego residents George Marston and his wife Anna to fulfill as their private residence. Constructed in the Arts and Crafts fashion by celebrated local architects Irving Gill and William Hebbard, no spending was spared to assemble a property that mirrored the Marston family’s enjoyment for beauty as well as dedication to social progress.

Over the decades, The Marston House passed through several owners. Luckily previous caretakers had the prudence to keep the property to maintain its historic architectural integrity. In 1987, the Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO) bought and restored the estate, turning it into a cultural center and museum.
